Osteopathy
WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which focuses on how the anatomical structures and systems of the human body work together as a holistic unit. This involves looking at the bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs to determine what may be going wrong. The team at KO Sports and Movement will examine, diagnose and treat your complaint, whilst offering the best and obtainable outcomes suited to your individual needs.
With an emphasis on preventative care, Osteopathic treatments usually consist of soft tissue techniques, like massage and stretching, along with joint manipulation and mobilisation of specific joints and muscles. We may also use dry needling, shockwave therapy or myofascial cupping therapy in conjunction with these techniques.
An initial consult is approximately 45 minutes which will include a general health history, diagnostic, orthopaedic or neurological testing, postural assessment, treatment and management plan.
Treatment may consist of massage, manipulation, mobilisation, dry needling, myofascial & functional techniques.
A return consult is approximately 30 minutes that will include a general health history, treatment and management plan.
Treatment may consist of massage, manipulation, mobilisation, dry needling, myofascial & functional techniques.

Krystyn finds it extremely rewarding assisting patients to improve their quality of life and everyday function through individualised consultations and treatment approaches. She is a strong believer that movement is medicine, which is reflected in her tailored approach to each individual. When working with patients, Krystyn takes pride in incorporating a patient’s personal goals, such as return to sport or work, and encouraging them to take an active role in their recovery.
