Osteopathy
WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which focuses on how the anatomical structures and systems of the human body work together as a holistic unit. This involves looking at the bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs to determine what may be going wrong. The team at KO Sports and Movement will examine, diagnose and treat your complaint, whilst offering the best and obtainable outcomes suited to your individual needs.
With an emphasis on preventative care, Osteopathic treatments usually consist of soft tissue techniques, like massage and stretching, along with joint manipulation and mobilisation of specific joints and muscles. We may also use dry needling, shockwave therapy or myofascial cupping therapy in conjunction with these techniques.
Myotherapy
WHAT IS MYOTHERAPY?
Myotherapy is another evidence-based form of physical therapy. The word Myo translates to Muscle – commonly, Myotherapists use deep tissue remedial or relaxation massage, trigger point therapy, dry needling, and corrective exercises aiming to relieve sporting injuries, overuse strains, muscle tightness, and tension headaches to support neuromusculoskeletal system – including muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia (connective tissue), and joints.

Jack’s journey into Osteopathy was inspired by personal experiences with sports-related injuries which fuelled a deep interest in holistic healthcare. This led him towards Osteopathy where it allowed the roles to be reversed and himself the one providing the care.
Krystyn finds it extremely rewarding assisting patients to improve their quality of life and everyday function through individualised consultations and treatment approaches. She is a strong believer that movement is medicine, which is reflected in her tailored approach to each individual. When working with patients, Krystyn takes pride in incorporating a patient’s personal goals, such as return to sport or work, and encouraging them to take an active role in their recovery.
